Rev. Wilbert De.Wayne White is a man who loves the Lord with all his heart. He took Paul's words seriously, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” His education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Religion, a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling, a Master of Divinity, and two one-year Clinical Residencies in Clinical Pastoral Education through Association Clinical Pastoral Education at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center and The York Health System.
Rev. Wilbert De. Wayne White, in addition to being a dedicated pastor, is a loving family man. His marriage to the Beautiful Kim Marie Fischer-White has been blessed with six children: Minister Ashley R. White, De.Wayne M. White, Loren Villar, Jesse L. White, Aidan Villar, Evan Villar. They also have two adorable granddaughters: Payton K. White and Grayce Villar.
Significant milestones mark Pastor White's journey in ministry. He was licensed to preach in February 1986 under the late Rev. Dr. Franklin L. Henley and Ordained under the Rev. Earl Harris in March 1996 both were pastors of the St Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Harrisburg, PA. In December 2005, Pastor White took a leap of faith and started a church plant: The H.O.P.E Community Christian Fellowship, Harrisburg, PA,which was laterchanged to The H.O.P.E Community Baptist Church. In June 2020, he planted the H.O.P.E. Community Christian Fellowship in Phoenix, AZ.
Pastor White is a man of God who desires to help build God's kingdom through H.O.P.E. (Helping Our People Excel in Christ) by teaching and preaching the Word of God. Pastor White is the author of two Workbooks: “Essentials for Christian Living” and “Essentials for Spirituality in Mental Health Wellness.” He is working on “Essentials for the Black Baptist Tradition” and “Essentials for Christian Marriages.”
At the H.O.P.E. Community Christian Fellowship, we are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. Our services, including Bible Study, Weekly Worship (non-denominational), and Pastoral Care Services, are designed to meet the spiritual needs of our community. We warmly invite everyone to join our weekly Bible Study held every Thursday at 6 p.m. and our weekly Worship Experience held every Sunday Morning at 10 a.m. Our Pastoral Care Services are available to address any other spiritual needs in a nonjudgmental and nonthreatening environment, ensuring that everyone feels accepted and valued.
